The Linkage Scripts help ease the process of performing linkage analyses; the scripts may be copied, modified, and distributed freely under the terms of the GNU GPL License. The Linkage Scripts only serve to automate the execution of mlink, linkmap, and other associated utilities listed in the README file. These programs, which perform all of the computational work, were created by others and have their own respective licenses (or lack thereof). The Linkage Scripts were developed for Linux, but using them on other operating systems which support the required programs should not be difficult.
The Linkage Scripts package contains two major Perl scripts. First, mlink.pl performs two-point parametric linkage analyses. Second, linkmap.pl performs multipoint parametric linkage analyses. For more details, please consult the README file.
